Hello to all,and an early happy new year. I’m a long time lurker who recently decided to sign up to the forum-it’s a mine of information.
Having been in the industry for over 20 years now,I’m looking to use that experience to change my career direction to becoming a trainer. I have had my class one licence 16 years,my CPC national since 1997,and have gained a wide range of transport industry experience:my subject knowledge is good.I’ve also had some teaching/instructional experience in my younger years in the military. I’m specifically looking at instructing dcpc and other industry related courses, and I’m currently doing my PTLLS course to that end.
I’ve read up about RTITB and RHA instructional courses, and my intention is to freelance as a trainer,as it suits my lifestyle. Does anyone have any experience and/or suggestions on the best path to follow in order to achieve my aim of getting out from behind the wheel and into the classroom? I find driving rather too solitary.
