My folks and lil sis are giving me a few quid next week for my B’Day… Gonna put a few in meself and get a Sat Nav… So which one…? Something with UK and European maps, Upgradable, easy to use, Height and Weight routes, gonna last a good few years… Only ever used one once a mate let me have a go… Thanks…
tomtom easy to use/upgrade and hack also can put tomtom truck on so you can set vehicle details etc.

make sure you get one with a sd card slot underneath. any go 520/530 etc
Looking up sd slot on google…!! Steep learning curve

Been swating and think i’m gonna go for the 520 or 720… A trip to Halfords tommorow to see em in the flesh… depending on price I might get one ( In about a week when I got the dosh)or search on net after I’ve had a play. 
try an get the 520 or 720 T its for traffic updates,useful sometimes. i have a go520t with tomtom truck and it works fine with some common sense added
also try amazon for a better price

So how do I download the tomtom truck on to an sd card? do i have to buy a card?
Will check all prices when I decide in the flesh if you know what i mean…
i’d go for tomtom 520 or 530, i wouldn’t worry about traffic or live. traffic gives you live traffic updates along your route so you can make detours through tiny villages and get stuck where as live turns your tomtom into a mini (limited web browser) but i’ve been told its expensive to use.

Yep… Dont think I’ll get a live version of whatever I do get… Dont need more expence every month, all adds up, Mobile, broardband, TV etc…
Didnt get to go see any today but hope to get to shops tomorrow…
