Bayonne tolls and national road

In the late 1990`s i would regulary use the national between North of Bayonne, and re join the A63,at the second peage going South to Irun.Even though marked as a weight limit, never got stopped,as numerous restaurants on route for trucks. It was possibly local traffic only, with delivery address on the paperwork, but for an international delivery, never had a problem. Not sure if would try it now,as even more signs gone up for in transit trucks to use the motorway.I used to deviate from Bayonne,on a dual carriageway, that didnt go near the centre.Did anyone else used to do the same, and come out on the middle peage.

I have cheeked it a couple of times a few years ago, but only late at night and given the way the Gendarmes hunt us down these days wouldnt bother anymore.

See gendarmes use high powered sports cars now,on forest road to Irun.Mistubushi evo`s and Subarus.Beats those old Renault estates they use.Inspector Clouseau!
