Batteries..

Second time I’ve experienced this in 3 years, on the same unit.

Little to no power left in the batteries to turn the engine over, although managed to get it going this morning at 0600, last time was in the yard around 2.5 years ago, so rang the office out of hours and left them to deal with it while I went home for another kip.

Don’t have anything running other than the fridge and night heater overnight. I charge my phone during the day, so hopefully rules out “driver abuse”.

How long should batteries last? It’s not like I’m doing short runs through the day, more like 300km, so the batteries get a decent charge.

I change my batteries every 2 years regardless of condition etc. I’ve been caught out by thinking any 3 or 5 year warranty means they’ll be good for that long.
