I am travelling from Uk to Basle and Geneva next week. The normal route to Geneva is via Berne. Does anyone know of any restrictions if I traverse via NeuChatel as time is not a real issue as it looks a more interesting route for a change…

I never used that way, but it looks like a more direct route, and might avoid those full time roadworks that always seem to be there near Bern

the german border crossing at BASEL is one that all ways seems to have
more ttraffic jans than the others,
i went to the Phillip morris ciggy factory @ Onnens couple weeks ago and there are no restrictions all along the lake but i did double back the same way.
