vitor:
My suspension seat is an Isringhausen (2 horizontal springs and a shock absorver) and it is installed on a Fiat Ducato van.
Two questions:
Considering you’ve got a seat with rotative weighing 45kg applied to the suspension kit, when you’re adjusting the weight on the supension, should you consider only the driver’s weight or must you add 45kg?
Also, what are the symptoms of a problem with the shock absorver or the springs?
Thanks for your help.

When I sat on the Isringhausens I found that if the shock absorber played up you’d go up too fast on bumps and hit the stop, which I found was worse than going down to the stop too fast. Is that your symptoms ?
A lot of Isri seats I perched on had damper adjusters, maybe that was set too “reactive” to bumps?
Well, My seat usually goes down to the stop, never rapidly to the top. I weigh 75 kg, now I adjusted the suspension to 110 kg and it´s a bit better but also not so soft, of course…

That’s the attitude they but I do prefer not to be subjected to 70db plus for most of the day then there’s pollution we do alot of town work and heavy lifting. Could save a claim for hearing loss in the future.

No, I was talking about when it’s knackered because it stops you going up too fast as well as down… Oooer missus.
