Anybody out there know roughly how long will take me?
AA route planners brings me off M74 at j8 (just under 230 miles) RAC planner says j5 (just over 230 miles)
To me j5 looks easier to me?
Cheers
Mark

That’s correct - Straight up to J5 (Raith Interchange) and up the A725.
Can do Hamilton services in about 4 hour from Barnsley.
Cheers for replies lads.
So should be fine getting up there and back on a 10?
Should do as once you get pass the M62/M1 link there’s not much traffic and once you get on the M6A74M/M74 it’s a clear run 9 times out of 10.
I do Castleford to Bellshill and back in a day fairly regularly. Easy four hours to Hamilton services, come off at junction 5, next one and hang a left up the A725. Where you off to in East Kilbride?
Del onto Kelvin ind est.
If it’s rush hour you’ll be sitting at junction 5 for a good 30 minutes it’s ■■■■■■■ solid every morning.
Prob looking at setting of 4.30/5am, might be plan to get to Hamilton services for a 45
As said earlier M74 off for East Kilbride ( well signposted and just after Hamilton services )Take a left A725.stay in the left lane ( as near the end it splits in to a Y junction so to speak ) you then will come to the Whirlies rounabout ,( or as some southerners call it an island
) then head to where you are going … East Kilbride is the jock version of Milton Keynes ,roundabouts are popular

You’re right about it being like Milton Keynes
I also heard the saying, “East Kilbride, knickers to the side” from some scotch lads on holiday once. Does this means that East Kilbride lasses are easy to get in the sack? ![]()
my lips are sealed
