just been looking on the jobcentre website and found this firm in oldham. wondered if anyone knows what sort of work they do??

its aldi store delivery work mate.
I’m currently doing Agency work there, and they have different contracts.
They usually advertise for the Aldi work, as they can’t keep drivers due to the way Aldi run the job. I’m told its a £130 per shift, 12 hrs long. It’s hard work, chasing your backside and very little time for breaks,load the trailers yourself, unload at stores, tip it back at the RDC. 1st run tends to be 1 hit, 2nd run is 2 stores, all local within spitting distance.
Fleet is all Scania’s R420/440, 58-10 plate, high mileage but most of the units drive well.
Other work is to car manufacture suppliers from Stakehill, TNT and Yodel , and a paper mill shunt, Carrington to Traff Park.
Office staff are OK, you’re left alone to get on with it.
Have they a connection with the long gone Ben Barnes transport who mainly ran 4 wheeler vans ? .
