a few years back when i transported ambulances about,stopped at a amb station nr bolton,one of the crew questioned me about wearing steele caps
driving a flat fronted truck, he explained to me about lorry drivers feet getting trapped by them in accidents. since then have never worn them to drive.

I would imagine that anecdote could be used with the one about not wearing a seat belt because.
1.a woman drowned when her car turned over.
2.a bloke severed his wind pipe when the belt slipped.
3.my mates brothers girl knows someone who died because the belt got stuck

Wearing a seat belt or not is an entirely different issue however - you won’t kill any more/fewer or be more likely to be in an accident without a seatbelt. I do object to being fined for not wearing a seatbelt in the car though, surely that is purely about personal choice.

I love driving in my socks but it’s not practical :cry: ,any tip’s to make it easy :question:

have any of you seen a sticker near the top stepā€¦ā€œloose the shoes!!ā€ no shoes alowed in the cab, its the first thing b4 driving off :sunglasses: (unless its tipping down nd your in an out shuntting.)

I got fined in Belgium 5000 euro for wearing clacks…

No hang on… it was my mate that told me on the train… thats right …
