They have a vacencie for the above £7.14 per hour , i believe the class 1 rates are around the same money interesting but not suprising
WOW ! i can apply for that, i`ve not much experience, but my missus has called me a barsteward a few times, does that count.
Holy ■■■■. What a bunch of sad pricks lurk in here.
Well I wouldn’t do bar work for £20 an hour the hassle you get is unreal…
I’ve been there and done it and I’m a lot nicer bloke when I’m on the other side of the bar drinking… You meet some right knobs in bar work and the hours are awful
Too far for this old Essex boy to travel.

How I see it people in here think that HGV drivers need to be paid £30 + an hour minimum and that other jobs shouldn’t be paid any higher then then a HGV drivers wage.
No one cares pal. Surely even the most boring on here are bored of all the stobart posts?

Same as your spelling then…interesting but not surprising!

You can’t compare the two jobs. How many hours do barmen work? Not as many as us that’s for sure and I bet they don’t get the daily meal allowance or night out money do they? Btw I don’t work for stobart just sick of reading the same crap about them all the time.

+1
exactly what i was thinking!!
wondered if its double bubble on a sunday…
People decide what rate to work for, of you think it’s too low don’t do it simples look for something else. As said in earlier post bar work is flat rate at ALL times day night or weekend and even bank holiday. If this bar rate is magical go and do it.

ok everyone stop picking on the class tool. He has no idea about what goes on anywhere unless his mate tells him in the truckstop bar.
By the way bjd, care to tell us truthfully just what your skill set is worth?
I’m not holding my breath. …
according to my p60 just shy of 32,000 up yours !

The thing is I think I earn good money and I have a friend in catering and my mrs is a chef. Yeah I earn loads more than them and my p60 looks fairly impressive. It doesn’t say on it though that the hours I do equate to near on a year and a half of a normal full time job. I’s your 32k on a 30/35 hour week cause I know mines not, that’s why I don’t shout of on how great my money is cause although my hourlys good I’m doing alot of ■■■■■ hours for a good p60.
Edit: I’m not having a go I’m just saying and I don’t work for stobarts before I’m accused .

well done. If that’s what you think your skill set is worth.
HAPPYSACK…certainly lives by his name.
Nope I’ve thought about that and still flummoxed.

I think sadsack would be more apt.
Is there a clause in your contract that says you must always defend Stobart’s on t’internet, sadsack?
