The simplest way would be to load it into a 20 foot container and wait for it at the other end, I priced driving one up to Africa and the container cost me 1700 quid.

Me and Sheeter both, but times have changed somewhat since the freewheeling sixties.
I don’t think we would be so cocky in Iran and Afghanistan these days.
But, just for the record,
my way - Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India.
Dave’s (Sheeter’s) way - direct via the infamous Tahir pass from Turkey to Iran.
Advice? If it is just in order to get the car there, Malc’s container is the way to go.
If it is for the adventure, go for it, but be prepared for a little more adventure than we experienced.
i don’t know if the iranians would let you through but you can’t transit afghanistan at the moment.
as far as i know my brand new shogun and L200 warrior are still sat in the mitsubishi dealership in karachi, i’m not going for them
Biggus take my advice, retrieve the Shogun and leave the Warrior there…or sell em both and get a Landcruiser…

If you can get permission i would think Iran would be safer (not as much war going on )
Try asking the embassy on 0207 225 3000
16 Princes gate London
however they are notorious for delays.
Once through Iran you’ve then got to tackle Pakistan and India.
Not a trip for the faint-hearted I should think. However its one I’d love to do.
Good luck if you go for it
Dont forget to post pictures and make us all jealous
