Does anyone go banger racing, or has anyone ever raced bangers or other short circuit racers?
I’ve had a few spells sat beneath the roll-cage, firstly with PRI in the late seventies, and then at Dover about ten years ago.
And I’m going to Arena Essex on sunday for the first time in yonks.
I love banger racing and I’ve never understood why F1 doesn’t follow the brilliant but simple idea of putting the fastest drivers at the back of the grid.
Personally dont do it myself Harry but my two bosses based in Bathgate do it regular and when you see the state of there cars i just think to myself ouch 
, and on that note of F1 yes i do agree with you why dont the fastest cars start at the rear it would make it more interesting.
i trhink quinny is your man for that type of thing.
I used to do it then used to just watch it.
Alot of hassle preparing the cars with not much time on my hands made it difficult for me.
Not been for ages.
I raced up until around 3 years ago ofr about 18 years it is a huge adrenalin buzz, but you would not believe the work that goes into prepping the cars for racing, it’s not just a case of kick the windows out & off you go, it has become very professional the last few years with engine swaps auto’s becoming manual’s & lots of other stuff too which becomes a real pain, also decent cars are now getting pretty hard to find.
