Ballet and lorries!

I just thought I’d open a thread exploring the strange relationship between ballet and lorries. The points where they cross over. For a start, I wonder if any of you who ever worked on the tour trucks doing the concerts / shows circuit (think EST, Transam etc) can ever remember trailer sides ever being dedicated to groups like the London Festival Ballet or the Royal Ballet or the Northern Ballet…. I know some of the big tours for shows did. Another scenario that springs to mind is the carnival float occupied by the local ballet school. That may throw up a few images!

Anyone on EST or Transam do the ballet tours?

I took the Young Royal Ballet for a mini tour of Holland in 1974.
Quite an eye-opener.

It just happens to be World Ballet Day today. Plenty of videos online of the big dance companies celebrating with filmed masterclasses

There’s a song about this thread!
