Been offered class 1 weekend work with an agency doing trunking work and possible Rdc dileveries for a couple of different bakery factories one is called fine lady bakeries and the other I can’t remember the name of but its on Trafford park. does anyone have any experience driving for bakery factories is it as easy as they make out?
I used to work for Fine Lady out of Banbury years ago, steady job doing Waitrose and Tesco RDC’s and loads of sandwich factories, everything was on trollies or chep pallets so nice and easy
foresttrucker:
You might be expected to push the bread trolleys across the loading dock into the warehouse.
Which is no big deal, compared to supermarket cages, bread is very light and easy to manhandle.
you reckon do you.
I tell you bread is heavy. ad depending on what state the wheels are in much like cages they can be a real head ache.
but in whole rdc work is a doddle not as good as my set route but yeah a dinky danky doodle
Yeah sounds a good way to make a crust! Just don’t mess about… or you’ll be toast! Just be careful if it’s a decker… they tend to “Roll” easy! Don’t worry… they always land butter side up! I hope your misses doesn’t get jealous… All the birds will be chasing you!
DBR were advertising the job described, not saying that’s the agency the OP is on about though, a lot of jobs advertise through several agencies these days.
