While coming home from Garforth last night i witness some of the worst driving by an HGV
in a long time i first saw him overtake at the lights going up by the racecourse in pontfract and cut in front ov 3 cars when the lanes merge into one then again down towards the traffic lights in town he then tailgated an car all the way out of ponty turned right towards Ackworth which by the way is a weight limit bullied his way into on coming traffic all the while crossing the white line still tailgating the same car, in Ackworth where the road narrows in places nearly taking out a lad on a bike because he was throwing it round tight bends and over shooting the bend all over the speed limit, nearly taking the arse end ov a parked car with the read back swing down near the church when the car turned right at the Wakefield /Doncaster roundabout he then tailgated the scooter that was in front ov the car!!! i was absolutly gobsmacked at the disregared and totally reckless way this so called professional driver would drive like this having been in this industry since 1984 and held a class one for nearly 25 years this ranks up there with the best.
The veh was an 6wheeler rigid with a grab and greedy boards looked like he had bags of plaster on tryd to get reg but couldnt and the veh had little livery on show.
If by chance you are on this site (remote chance ) then you my so called professional driver) you are a first class ■■■■■■ and should try another way ov making a living

Sorry Chris i was busy driving at the time
the trouble these days BIG AW is twofold,
firstly there are people who have taken there hgv test because they believed the greatest lie in the universe that there were thousands of hgv jobs out there all paying 35 grand for 40 hours and becoming a driver was just a way to have a job and they have no real interest in being “proffessional”
and secondly driving standards are going through a evolutionary change, and have been for the last few years, and the younger generation, ( god i sound like my grandad !) with some EXCEPTIONS !!, are driving in ways that scares me. The worst part is that older, and allegedly, wiser drivers are driving “the modern way” (what i like to call the F1 racing way)
Now i know you did,nt see IF it was a young or new driver but hopefully you see the point i,m trying to make

Reading that, I felt like I was actually there.

Driving a truck like you would drive a car and too thick to realise there’s a difference, you see it every day unfortunately mostly on artics, absolute knobs .

2 points for using the “so called professional” in the post twice (you would have got more if you had spelled “professional” wrongly) but you missed the chance to use the “bus load of schoolkids” and say “think of the children” so you must try harder next time.
Was you in your car then??
I’m only asking because you point out his reckless behaviour and the fact he was ‘well over the speed limit’, yet you saw all that meaning you stayed with him??
You can’t possibly have been in a truck and stayed with a speeding maniac surely??
I would have phoned the police.Sounds like he had a drink or two or on drugs.
Did your truck have a Roadhawk camera?
Or set the mobile phone on video to record it.

I was just thinking exactly the same, if he was overtaking at traffic lights & cutting in how did the o/p stay with him?
