This is worse. £7.86 per hour = £307 a week basic for ADR night work. Then you need the overtime to make a living.

why should he shut his mouth, the basic week with no OT a driver will obtain 7.86 x 40 = £314.40 before stoppages … to get figure you quote it would have to be made up of 15 hours per week over time, disgraceful wage.

all a driver does is line the pocket of the owner who plead poverty when they have a 62 plate scania

HAHAHAHAHAH You are a genius. What YOU just said makes no sense.

How CAN I possibly know what someone’s post says if I don’t read it?

No wonder this country is headed where it is.

You very rarely do more than 50 hours a week on nights ( its trunks between depots - 8 - 9 hrs a night on average ) yet you get paid 55 hrs regardless. Maybe HR should compose their adds little better. Unless of course you want to work 30 hrs a week for 50K a year. Then you should have listened to your parents when they told you to study hard. And you’re the only one to blame.

of course blame HR the working hours 50 hours per week, gotta be a mug to work them 50/55 hours a week for that wage even with OT your not getting plus of 550 … I do not need to drive trucks anymore prior to emigrating from the UK I was on £17 ph for a 37 hour week 4 day week and if I did a days overtime i cleared £204 for it admittedly it was a 12 hour shift. 629 + 204 is a pretty ■■■■ better wage for 49 hours than that and no nights either

Hewden hire were offering £7.00 per hour for class 1 with HIAB last week.

I went for an interview for that job over a year ago when it was advertised at £9.50ph. Its delivering cabins (“wag n drag”) to Bentley utility sites, their main contract apparently usually up remote, steep, very narrow and twisting country lanes, with extremely poor access, even more fun in ten inches of mud, ( i delivered to lots of their sites with a previous builders merchant HIAB job. ) all done by the book, method statements etc and more H+S bureaucracy than Westminster. Far too much hassle and stress even for £9.50ph, thankfully i didn’t get it.

Nobody seems to stay in that job more than a few months as i have seen it re-advertised three times in twelve months, i wonder why.
