Back to uk work

As of Tuesday I will be back working permanent uk work. It’s a while since I’ve done anything but euro work, so was wondering what tips you can give ■■
Where’s the best stops these days? Do vosa mostly leave uk regs alone ? Where are the worst traffic black spots ■■ And how can I avoid them. Obviously my previous work takes me around the uk as well so it’s not like I’m a new starter, it’s just that it would be a case of tip & get home so don’t really see the other side of things.
Cheers Jon.

Drive on the left, give way to the right on roundabouts, look out for cyclists, and avoid that barsteward Bob at all costs!

You don’t need any tips really. You’ve done the job long enough to know traffic etc is a fluid situation and changes day to day.

Enjoy.

Did you leave M & D then ?

I think the only road I actively dislike “having” to travel at the moment is the M62, I detest that road with a passion, even on nights it is a constant PITA, lane hoggs even more annoying with less traffic around them to even justify them being in lane 2 doing 45mph…

Rest of the road network is pretty much as it has been for years, hot spots at the usual peak times etc imho.

Yup. Last day today. £6.80 per hr not enough any more.

turnip:
Where are the worst traffic black spots ■■

For you heading South on the M5 on a Friday afternoon especially today around the Bristol area.

Watch out for Angus

Nick, nick.

best tip i can give you.
Get back on European work ASAP.

Get a free copy of the free mag Truck stop news, it has a list of the truck stops.

Get used to being told to wait to tip in the uk ! Not as efficient as europe at getting you away !
I see a few of Darley Fords in europe, did you try them, or are they in the same boat !

From what I hear of it they are great to work for but alas pay is £7 per hr flat rate. Had a bit of an issue with vosa a while back too.

You will be hard pressed to tell the difference from uk to Europe m8 all rdc. Staff are hardworking Eastern Europeans and efficient . Oh our truckstops are ■■■. Good luck with the new job turnip don’t blame you at all m8 6.80ph no good to be honest
