well today i been offered a job at a local container place monday friday the money is decent they seem like a very straight forward kind of bunch looking forwad to it very much
only down side is the fleet and uniforms are red and being and oldham fan i hate red 
o and i been given a renault as my unit 
but if thats the worst things i have to say i think i can live with that

Sliders are easy mate, take it box is already on?? Will either be a push button system or line change (red line), easy to spot which.
If push button is at front, it will normally operate the trailer brakes itself, if it’s near the trailer brake button, you’ll normally have to do it manually.
If it’s line change, easier to use the trailer brake than climb up extra time - ie, trailer brake on, change line, move, change line, move until lock, release trailer brake.
Using the trailer brake is good practice all the time though, because you cam check to make sure the pins are located at the same time.
When stretching back out, be gentle, it’s been known to slide them straight off, so nice and gentle to the lock.
Always run with 20’ in the correct position, loaded or empty, it’s good practice and stops you gettin’ pulled / wasting time explaining.
7 for a half 8 bolton is a bit tight… Took me an hour once to get from the end of the slip road, to the yard behind VW just off the A666 one morning, and that was for an 8am start (ish)…
