Baby due any day!

mazzer:
My two youngest were both born on Saturday’s for the elder of the two got to the hospital at 11 and he was born at 4 for the youngest got there at 9 and she was born at 10 reckon even the police on the A75 might have let me off for speeding that night. But you have to be there best thing that can happen to you, just don’t look at the business end and be prepared to be called all the names under the sun.

I have two mancubs and I was there to watch them both arrive on Planet Earth. I’m a proper mardy bum and expected to be one of the fabled fainting Dads which I’d heard tale of, especially when the blood and snot started to seep out. I made the decision to ‘keep away from the business end’ but when the action started I quickly realised that the 5ft 3 Mother didn’t actually have 2 ends. No matter where I stood, I could see it in all it’s technicolour glory!
Anyway, I never fainted and I would not have missed a minute of it. Two small, squashed, conical headed, blood smeared versions of me making their debut. Do whatever you have to to make sure you’re there.

If it’s her first then try not to worry too much, statistically you’ll have plenty of time from when labour starts to the actual birth, but if it’s her 3rd or higher then never let go of her hand because it could just drop out anytime :grimacing:

Take her with you, and that way you can be at the birth, and have a good excuse to park anywhere.

Dont forget to switch the tacho mode to POA - Pregnancy Outside Availability.

Thanks for all your replys, ended up going to oxford instead and still no baby, on locals for the rest of the week so should be ok fingers crossed!

You needs to chill out fella before you haves an accident …

oops no you’ve already done that haven’t you

take it easy feller hope all goes well and don’t panic …

My partner is due to give birth in 12 days however she feels that the baby is going to come sooner due to the pains she’s having etc… I drive 18 tonne rigids for a firm in bristol, although they have plenty of local work they have chosen to send me to central London tomorrow with all the road closures due to tour dr France.

The company are fully aware of my situation.

Has any body else been in this situation, has there company done there best to offer them local work?

Many thanks

Seems they show you there Muscles.
Just go off Sick 2 weeks during xMas  They will understand you fully

I had a mad dash home last year! She assured me the baby would not be putting in an appearance so it was fine to night out. 3am phone call and a little adjustment of the thankfully analog tacho and full steam home! Got there in time to call the ambulance and got to hospital just in time. If its your first don’t rely on it being late or taking ages!
