Heading down to a farm at Bishop Offley just through Eccleshall towards Market Drayton and just wondered if I could cut off the A50 down to Stone and then out of Stone on the 5026 without any restrictions? 44ton bulker 13 foot.

Depend’s where in Bishops Offley you are after, there is a sharp bend with a house on the corner that has been hit a few times and there are signs warning about long vehicles for this reason, there aren’t any restrictions other than that really.
You could head for J15 M6 then out to Eccleshall on the A519 and turn right up the high street (B5026) to Wetwood vilage hall and head in from there, that would avoid all the railway related roadworks at Norton Bridge.

I’d be inclined to follow the farmers directions.(if you’ve forgotten them, lost them or don’t understand them, ring him again and ask)
No disrepect to other posters but, it’s Old MacDonalds farm and he’ll know the best way in and out.
Matt, you won’t have been the only bulker to have been there.
Don’t forget to send us a pic of you and yer motor wedged down a small footpath or stuck in a muddy field.

Hahaha I did have directions down the lanes to the farm I just wasn’t sure if I could cut through to Stone to save me going all way onto the A500 at Stoke. Tipped and just getting reloaded for Liverpool now!!

Yes you can,you will see multiple signs telling you road ahead closed no access to Mill Meece but that off the roundabout heading away from Eccleshall,the B road out of stone to Eccleshall used to be on the test routes for HGVs until they closed the test centre at swynerton.
