B and M Stores Glasgow

Does anyone know it the above mentioned are opening a depot in Glasgow or is it likely just to be a satellite depot? They are looking for Class 1 drivers in Glasgow and the money doesn’t look too bad. Could be tempted to give them a try.

No idea, but when I used to deliver to Home Bargains in Hamilton, there would usually be 1,2 or 3 B and M trucks parked up, nighting out in the loading area. Trying to sleep whilst we rattle cages in and out the shop and the shop alarm going off not to mention the tail lift beeping when going down… guys say it’s because the company won’t pay for them to park in the services.

But you’ll get a Scania to drive

A Scania to drive !!! yippee !!!.

I think I could lower my standards a bit to put up with a scania. [emoji1]

I get teary eyed when I see a Scania these days… in my DAF CF :frowning:

Couldn’t care less what I drive at work. (Although it’s always a CF) As long as it has a decent radio and a supportive seat I’m a happy bunny.

I’d imagine that would be a pretty decent job, most likely pallets off a tail lift type situation. And most of the B&M stores I see are pretty big so usually means the have good size yards.

Wonder where the depot is going to be says South so maybe the ex city link depot in Cambuslang?

I say go for it, they would snap you up with all your decker experience.

Could be the old city link depot. I was thinking it might have been the old Sommerfeld yard in EK.

Need to get away from where I am. Jobs ■■■■■■. We’ve lost about 5 good drivers since December now. Place is going downhill rapidly.

Pallets and cages, up and down tail lifts is my kind of job  One thing that annoys me about doing it during the day… cheeky arrogant store staff!!! Night shift doing the delivery yourself would be ideal. I’ve notices the B and M trailers have decent size tail lifts, and see quite a few curtain sided deckers… might just be a case of open the curtains and hey-ho :sunglasses:

Our CF’s are 12 plates and very well maintained, most have around 400-500,000 kms on the clock, but the auto box just makes me cry like a little girl

There’s a b&m at Paisley but dnt think they deliver from there
