Hi has anyone got on any info on actros and ategos 1823 please , reliability, fuel consumption, spares etc. Im considering buying a secondhand one any onfo would be appreciated, thanks.
In my totally unbiased opinion, they are the best 18tonner money can buy
I did sell them at one point, hence the username, the reason I sold them was simple, they are easy to sell, because they are such a good lorry
Thanks for the reply, Ive driven various mercs over the years and other makes too, but the mercedes has to be the best allrounder in my opinion. cheers.
Had 1823 and 1828 both vey good trucks
A really good mate of mine has one, it’s a yr 2,000 with a tag axle fitted & runs at 23 ton GVW I think, it has a Hiab & he’s had it about 4 years in which time it’s had 1 injector fitted & only failed it’s MOT once on rear brakes, 1 new drum & straight through!!
He parks in it our yard & we maintain it, it’s been a great truck for him.
Ross.
Thanks for the replies lads any more info would be appreciated.
