is that plated weight or design weight ?

Its plated waight Denis there is nothing in the design weight boxes.

According to a document I have from the FTA the maximum authorised weight of a drive axle is 11,500kgs, the 10,500kgs quoted above is the construction and use value.

a 40 ton 4x2 has a drive axle weight of 11500kg
a 44 ton 6x2 has a drive axle weight of 10500kg
a 44 ton 6x2 on steel suspension has a drive axle weight of 8500kg

hope this helps

paul

the way i read it, yes you are, though the trailer has to be on air

cheers
