I parked in a lay-by on the A34 last night just before the marker posts for a roundabout. 50mph speed limit and i sat watching all the professional drivers leaving it to not the first marker, not the second marker, but the last marker or after to start breaking and getting in the correct lane, it’s like they don’t actually see the roundabout until it’s 10 foot in from them and slam brakes on. They were mainly parcel company drivers doing it which makes sense doesn’t it. Idiots.
Any collisions?..
Anyone hurt?
Any chance of you minding yer own business?
You drive your lorry Rowley and I’ll drive mine.
This guy only does a simple ■■■■ night trunk on the M6, and he has more adventures than Rupert Bear.

Struggling to see what these “idiots” are supposed to have done wrong!
1). Their brake lights didn’t come on until after the third marker… this means there is still a hundred yards left – if you are not carrying a lot of weight then - not much mechanical sympathy but, with modern brakes whoopy doo… and, if they are like me, what is to say they have not been coasting for hundreds of yards before that?
2). So they got into lane at the last? Illegal? Nope! Surely, unless the traffic is nose to tail, leave getting into the outside lane as long as is safe… means idiots in cars are less likely to undertake!
On a break? Shut your curtains!
No brake lights til the last marker not first. Even if they were coasting they hadn’t lost enough speed. It’s almost like the roundabout suddenly in front of them takes them by surprise. Heavy braking just before it. Like I said mainly parcel drivers so pretty standard level of driving from those boys. Don’t expect anything more.
It’s just the typical bad driving you see day or night in the UK.
Thankfully I very rarely see it these days.
Probably knew there was an idiot parked in the lay by just before the roundabout so were trying to wind him up. Seems it worked

… and if, as you admit, you were sitting several hundred yards back - how are you supposed to know how much spend they have scrubbed off by coasting? You can’t possibly know!!
Likewise… heavy braking… were you in the cab? So how do you know?
In both cases, you can’t possibly know for certain - it is only your opinion and you could easily be 100% wrong! Like I said… close your curtains!
Judging by the amount and type of posts you put out there Rowley, im guessing you havent been laid in a very long time.

Yeah… but you should see the muscles in his arm!
In your ledger did you note in the correct column which vehicle’s retarders automatically trigger the brake lights, or more importantly which don’t, because unless they misjudged it some drivers wouldn’t use the brakes at all on the approach to most typical dual carriageway roundabouts.

Exactly.

And as usual nothing but abuse because most on here really don’t see anything wrong with standards like this because they all probably drive like that themselves

… as opposed to those who post derogatory sweeping posts based on zero empirical evidence.

It’s like they are taught to approach a hazard on the basis of brakes to slow gears to go or just brake as late as you dare because it’s an auto.Oh wait.
Just imagine a time when parcel company driver meant being able to drive a proper truck with a proper gearbox on the basis of gears to slow, brakes to help match the road speed to the next gear down and/or stop.In which case no doubt you’d have been moaning about my brake lights going on too early. Then going off for a while. Then going on again. Then going off for another while, to help match the road speed to each downshift.

Ok, so if we all admit to that, will you promise to stop boring the arses off us all with all this predictable cack…?
Deal or no deal?
Only if you’ll stop boring me with the opinionated drivel that you post as well
I had coffee and croissant from keele
