Anyone heading out of Manchester and planning to use Woodhead or coming the other way from the M1, it would probably be best to avoid the area for at least the next 24hrs. 2 female Police Officers have been shot dead in Mottram and the whole area is in lockdown.

It says the bloke has handed himself in but there are still armed police patrolling the area. I haven’t been keeping up with the news recently, is there more than one person involved or summat?

He did and is in custody

Armed police are only there now to reassure residents … I know … that makes no sense to me either

Sick ■■■■■■■ lured the 2 WPC’s with a fake burglary 999 call, shot them when they turned up and threw a grenade at them. Not a lot normally shocks these days, but this is unbelievable.

There is a massive back story to this incident :exclamation: The guy (Cregan) has been on the run for 3/4 weeks after a grenade and an automatic weapon were used to kill the father of a young successful amateur boxer who was also shot and killed a couple of months earlier in the Cotton Tree pub in Denton. Allegedly there was some kind of feud between the two sets of families (gangs) that has spiraled completely out of control and at this point in time cost 4 live’s :open_mouth:

What a sad state of affairs, sometimes it really feels like some people in this the Country are just out of control :imp:

The feud has been years in the making, he’s been on the run since May, He will not live out his sentance in prison or secure unit.
