Avoid M6 south jct 19-18 for the morning

Whilst they recover two 3 tonne concrete barriers that have come off the back of a wagon,no doubt due to the driver slamming the anchors on because of following the vehicle in front far too closely like some seem to do through the 50mph sections…that’ll be the whole area ■■■■■■ for the day!

I went past it going the other way, and could see that the beams had fallen from the drivers side of the trailer and not shot forward by braking sharply .
The beams were parallel to the trailer on the ground .

Pictures from the scene showed the beams had moved forward and smashed into the back of the cab fortunately the headboard had took most of the impact.

Shocked that the driver got out of that one alive given that the load hit the cab. The load must have been very poorly secured to break all its straps, even when stopping sharply.
