The road by the garden centre will be shut in both directions from 21.00 today for nine days 24 hours a day .
The diversions for lorries are not good, from the M5 , you can still get to Clarkes shoes factory and Sainsburys and McDonalds but can’t get to Wells and Shepton Mallet.
Somerton may be the diversion but low bridges for high trailers .
That’s me knackered then starting at frome , then carpetright glastonbury , then Exeter better get my nose in a good map
thanks for the heads up
It’s the A 39 shut called The Causeway , the diversion for LGV traffic is via the A 37 ,and the A 361 .
From Frome, you can still access Carpet Right as that is the other side of the closure .
To get to Exeter , it means going back towards Shepton Mallet through Pilton then take the 37 to Podimore to A303 to Exeter .
Nice one cheers Toby
Im avoiding it, normally I go to Glastonbury a few times a week but due to the closure im spending the whole of next week in Port Talbot runinng from the steel works to Swansea docks on turnaround ha
I like the fact my boss gives us choices.
Bridge height on A37 at Lydford is 4.4m / 14’ 3"

You make that sound like a good thing. Can I have some of your medication?
I like the night life in PB, Wetherspoons for dinner and pints for the week.
