So glad I don’t go anywhere near Edinburgh or Fife. To say that’s going to cause major problems tomorrow would be a bit of an understatement.[emoji25]
The phrase ’ Total Carnage ’ springs to mind, Kincardine is going to be mental busy.
I’d put my wages on there being a breakdown or accident on the Kincardine route bringing the whole area to its knees tomorrow. I can’t think off the top of my head last time there was a full closure of the FRB like this though.

Dozy is on his way north, he hasn’t said he won’t be crossing the kincardine bridge … just saying like …
Upon opening of the new crossing in about 12 months or so all delays crossing the Forth will be a thing of the past … but only for about 6 months until it collapses as most of it is built in China, and we all know just how good Chinese products are don’t we !!
“At least” 3 weeks. I can see it being longer, sounds like it’s falling apart. Heading that way today, thinking of a ~40 mile detour to avoid the ■■■■■■■■■■■ that the Kincardine/Clackmannan bridges are going to be.
Honest to god busiest time of the year aswell. You’re used to it being closed to high siders regular. It’s very rare for it to be totally closed last time was maybe 3-4 years ago when the winds where 90+ and even then that was only for a few hours.
These last few days I’ve been crossing my fingers that I didn’t get any runs affected, going to have to cross my toes aswell if it’s till the New Years.
Can see the likes of Amazon, Palmer and Harvey and the parcel firms that shuttle daily to Amazon suffer big time with this.
Not sure the old Kincardine bridge will be able to cope with all the extra traffic. It’s always looked like its on its last legs to me. It might start collapsing soon too.[emoji3]

Well it’s shut till new year at least [emoji33]
I can honestly see it remaining closed for good. They aren’t going to spend millions on repairs, when there got a £1.4bn bridge next to it opening in 12 months.
