Average speed cameras on A15

The new average speed cameras on the A15 beteen lincoln and sleaford go LIVE on or around sept 21
horrible road at the best of times. as per usual in my opinion a cash cow if the road is that bad it needs to be inproved ie: dual carraigeway
but that costs money and does not make money

Best to beat 'em at their own game and keep to the limit

It’s not the road that causes the problems. It’s the speeding impatient drivers that will not keep a safe distance. :unamused:

EXACTLY.

My opinion too.

Any contributions are entirely voluntary. Nobody holds a gun to your head and tells you to exceed the limit.

Even I, only with occasional visits back to Engerland don’t have a problem with that road, why? cos I drive properly. :unamused:

They won’t dual the A15 as it’ll attract more traffic from the south going to Hull or Immingham/Grimsby which they want on the A1/A46 or even the motorway network, and all the traffic will have to go through Lincoln unless they build another bypass. Dualling north of Lincoln is a more likely possibility (and improving the Newark junction is really badly needed, to stop the queues backing dangerously onto the A1 because of the short slip roads).

What’s the speed limit on the A15? If it’s 50mph then what’s the problem? The other roads in that region are pretty fast unless you get stuck behind a tractor or a dithering Doris.
