Autumn budget & help with costs for training

I was reading that the road haulage assoc are pressing the chancellor to make a statement in next weeks budget around allowing grants and subsidies for people to train for HGV…
Anyone think this might actually happen?

I was talking to a instructor about 6 weeks ago and the job centre had asked him to train 55 drivers to c+e so maybe it’s already started.

Looks like we won’t be getting any help from the government then, now who do I make this £3000 cheque out to again!

Me if you want

I’d love it if they made it more expensive and loads more difficult to obtain the licenses, plus restricting freedom of movement from Europe into the UK.

Basic supply and demand ain’t it.

Less drivers/more specialist job = higher wages. (Obviously there will need to be a balance and so as not to become un-viable).

(p.s. please ignore all the above until I have my C+E  )

Guy i know had been out of work for a few years has just had his all paid for him. rest of us got to find the cash ourselves unfortunately. :frowning:
