Could anyone please tell me the latest on taking your class 2 in an auto?? Started my training this morning only to be told my licence will not be any use if I want to drive a manual until further notice !! My plan was to gain class 2 in an auto!! Then class 1 in a manual.

Still no update on the DSA website. I wouldn’t advise anyone to train in a auto until the new rules are set in stone.

I’m training DSM near Newark. The guy who runs its is sound and says it will be sorted soon
If you pass CE in a manual you’ll have a manual C as well so no issue.
The rules are set to change within the next few weeks, we’re told.

to be honest I thought as long as you passed a test in a man that went all the way ie man car then it didn’t matter
