A few places i go use these some have rubber flaps so animals and kids can,t squeze between the gap.

I think they should be banned .
there,s been a few deaths now caused by these gates.
They should be covered in lights and warning signs and buzzers,but the best option ban the bloody things. 
From my understanding the gate wasn’t operating to UK/EU regs due to the aforementioned maintenance company not doing the correct checks 6 weeks prior. Had they done this would she still be alive? who knows… grounds for banning? terrible the case is, but probably not…
thousands of these gates work perfectly fine up and down the country and haven’t killed/injured anybody but they should all be banned due to a few isolated cases?
