We shouldn’t need to have to work in groups though. We should be able to pull under the shed in Calais, mention we think there are visitors on board and let the French & UKBA deal with it, without threats of 2 grand fines per piece or companies being fined thousands.
We had a reasonable checking system in place but it was fallible as was proven many times with the mess found in some trailers.
Instead of using drivers as unpaid border guards and then punishing them when they get it wrong, the borders need to be tightened, bring back DCS and DFS, along with the blackhand gang in Eastern Docks but without the massive fines for drivers
Heard the beach parking in calais was dodgy,saw reports of drivers having their feet beaten as so not to run after the thieves that broke in to cabs parked up near the port.Uk trying to force France to fly illegals home,the uk was going to spend 15 million pounds on this issue.But had a change of mind,now invest in more up to date scanning machines.

I wrote a letter to the HSA about the dangers of searching trucks etc, but they being a government agency gave me a ref no (which I lost) and did no more, this was 5 or 6 years ago.
Between this and the risks of unknowingly carrying drugs through Europe the job is like playing Russian roulette with no real chance of winning…It drives me mad 
They stabbed one Polish driver in Calais some time ago.
I did not heard anything more on that case in media, but I heard some rumours on Polish forum, that he has suffered really heavy injuries and he’s now on disability allowance as he’s not fit to drive…
What we need to do is have a government that actually give a F*%k about our country.
