I am only 26 and the youngest in my company by at least 10 years I think, but they know that I have been driving HGV’s for 9 years and asides from a little bit of banter between us I have never encountered any stick from an older driver.
Was at Hythe (Soton) and pulled off a very tricky reverse onto ‘the point’, even trickier as the tank was full and got a compliment from the older operator who kindly added that the older numpty the other day made a right dogs ear of the same job!

Well congrats on the C1 pass! 
It’s good too see females as well aren’t scared to do some hard graft
Don’t be too worried about the older drivers taking the ■■■■, but if you give as good as you get then you’ll find it shuts them up soon enough.
I once had a driver tell me I didn’t have what it takes to become a driver. I proceeded to ask what it takes to be a steering wheel attendant as I thought I should ask a professional pointing to his bumper that had a couple dents in it It shut him up at least.
