About 930am on Tuesday of this week a mate was parked up waiting for details of a reload in Speke.
White transit parks nearby, driver gets out and starts looking at phone.
Then walks over to the truck and asks my mate if he knows where estuary way is.
Being Liverpool area,he locked his drivers door as he approached.
( I don’t think I would of bothered,after all it’s 930 in the morning )
His window is two thirds closed.
Whilst this is going on the other guy in van has gone around the other side of the truck.
Anyway he tells him that he has no idea where estuary way is, and smelling a rat, closes the window when the first guy gets on to the first step.
At thi point the other guy tried to open the passenger door.
Needless to say he started her up and got away.
He didn’t call the police straight away, but when it was suggested to him that he should, he did.
The cops gave him a crime number and said they would check out CCTV, yeah right.
So, he was empty with a tautliner, driving an 11 plate FH XL.
It seems strange to me, even for merseyside.
So beware and keep the doors locked.
I know they being in this law you can use force on someone if there breaking in to your home this law should be aloud in the truck as its kinda home to some of us, it soon stop theys jackings in my eyes
Think I may buy an air pistol, for target practice.

Having been shot by an air pistol may I suggest a large bar instead, even a wimp like me won’t be deterred by a pellet
That Bubble had the right idea.
This kind of thing is already covered by sec3 criminal Law Act, and has been since 1967;
‘a person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime, or to effect or assist in the lawful arrest of offenders or suspected offenders, or persons unlawfully at large’
So Liverpool is the only place this type of crime could possibly happen then?
It apears you have some very old views about Liverpool/merseyside.
Wake up and smell the coffee my friend, this type of crime could happen anywhere in the uk. In fact my boss won’t allow us to park on toddington services, but I bet you wouldn’t describe Luton/Bedfordshire as a crime hot spot.
I do hope your mate is ok, but hope you realise it’s not just a Liverpool thing.
