Once worked for a parcel co. in Norwich (Fitzmaurice Carriers) and we had a daily delivery from them. Used to use D series artics with the old Perkins vee eights. Green trailers with a big atlas logo…
If you do a seardh for Atlas Express there are a few old depot pictures, and if you then do a search for Perkins V8 there is an engine leaping about somewhere. 
My old man used to work for the Smethwick depot during the early 70s.
He said it was one of the best jobs he ever had.
