At last, im going up in the world!

Had to drive on the new £1.2 million :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: scissor ramp at Leeds Opera house this morning to unload
just managed to squeeze out the drivers door ( the other side is wider to get out for right hand drive trucks, but mine is a left ■■■■■■) this was the view looking to the back of the trailer from drivers door

looking forward from passenger side

and from the street facing the front of the truck

the doors have to be undone before we go up the lift as theres not room to open them when we get to the top.
when the lift stops it stops at floor level so everything can be rolled straight out onto the floor.
And the lights are on on truck for the interior lights in trailer to work.

Looks like money well spent to ease the loading/unloading for you guys.

and what do you know a bloody van and car blcoking the loading bay for you to get out

nice loading ramp though bet that was an experience.

Interesting Carl, can’t say I’ve come across a full vehicle lift like that.

BTW did you get a chance to remind them ? :grimacing:

Ayup, its a lot easier for the stage crew, straight out of the trailer. We used to have to unload into a small lift or block and tackle big pieces through a hole in the wall.Money well spent on the Grand if you ask me.Hows the gig Carl? you must be getting to know Leeds a bit better. Joe.

Leeds is an interesting place, it seems every building has got ma shopping centre/mall in it! I left here Tuesday night at 10.30pm, bounced back to the yard, arrived 02.45, went home, the truck got serviced, i left yard at 12.30pm, arrived back here at 4.45pm, in time for tea and the show, will be having another walk around the shops weather permitting…

wow looks cool, leeds ehh shame the football club aint the best but seems that other things are!

Best regards,
Josh
