To day I received the sad new’s from Geoff Woods The shunt driver for Astrans that Tony Somerson passed away two days ago of cancer, pls will all friends pass on the news ,and im sure the funeral will be a great gathering as Tony was a popular guy ,R.I.P tony
That is indeed sad news Rita i ve had more than afew gin and tonics from his trailer box bar .Regrettably can t make it i m out of the country please pass on my condolences regards Crow.
I only met him a few times,but he seemed like a real nice guy.My condolences to all concerned.

See as many old drivers as poss to give Tony a great send off
Tony’s funerall is at 12 noon on the 17th sept
Ran with Tony several times and enjoyed a few trailer box meals and a few pots of “The Earl” with him.
A real professional and a thoroughly nice guy,a sad loss to us all.
