down in larkfield the otherday and seen an astran trailer with seymour on the front.i was told on here they had nothing to do with astran.so whats that all about
Dreva
Its called advertising!! We paid for 2 x Seymour curtainsiders to have Astran on them… Nothing to do with them owning Astran, because they dont!!!
As of 1st July they will not be in the same premises, so hopefully this will help with the confusion, because it doesnt matter how many times you tell people they are seperate companies, they dont seem to listen!!!
so there moving from larkfied then.into new premises see the question wasnt that hard was it kev
No one said they are moving from Larkfield!!! Just 200yrds down the road! And what question wasnt hard■■?

As the “S” four lettered word is not a bad word, I fail to see when it is used it gets a ”zb”
Whilst this is off the ME thread I considered it should be posted for the avoidance of doubt, with the hope that this little story should permit the use of the “S” word.
In the 16th and 17th centuries, well before the time of Astran, everything had to be transported by ship and as it was also before the invention of commercial fertilizers, large shipments of manure were quite common.
It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once the sea water hit it, not only did it become heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by product is methane gas of course.
As the stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could (and did) happen.
Methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below at night with a lantern, BOOOOM!
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening.
After that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the instruction ’ Stow high in transit ’ on them, which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the hold would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.
Thus evolved the term ’ S.H.I.T ', (Stow High In Transit) which has come down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.
Most of you modern day truckers probably didn’t know the true history of this word.
Neither did I. I’d always thought it was a golfing term.

Not as far as Tahir but most of us passed this place on the way down.
Terry Smith took this photo years ago but can anybody remember :
1, The name of this castle or the town.
2, The name of the very steep hill that you went down just before the turn off to this town when you were going southbound.
3, And for an extra brownie point, the name of the service area as you climbed up the valley just past the turn off and which brand of fuel did they sell in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
B.T.W. I was just having a Google for Tahir and this came up.
