Hey Hughie (Mr. Sheen) welcome back, hope the holiday was good. I also took Ramadan in RSA, thought it was better than the M/E
You are right, very little info on knights of Old / TAF.
I made some enquiry’s on Colin and Jo 90 some time ago but no one picked up on it.
Last I heard of Dennis Knight was he was down in Spain when he was not locked up for being naughty.
I think John Kemp must be well gone by now RIP, but that is about all I know…

Colin is living and working hard, up near Hull, not heard of Joe 90 for 20 years
Steve
Next time make the clues a bit less complicated it was to much for me old brain Knew I was in the right area but you dislocated the brain with 4 days east and 100 mile west and 3 weeks east good one though I have a couple I might put on that will get the heads scratching
Roger
Hi Roger
If you have any photos to give us quiz with just dig them out please. we need something to stop us locking up.
Regards
Ian
Hi Roger, do you or does anybody now remember going over that temporary floating bridge at Svelingrad in Bulgaria .
I have just done a Google and I found a photo of the old bridge ( the one that was being repaired at the time ) which is the one that we would of used in the early eighties. I think that the cryptic clue was the time difference going through Kapic which always took longer going one way than it did the other but we will all remember that and I now apologise for saying that I thought that the old bridge was built by The Romans when it now looks like it was built by The Ottomans . Well thats the great thing about this web site, you learn something everyday
but I hope that the photo got the old grey matter flowing for a while. I will try to make the next one a lot easier for you all so that Jaws can get some sleep at night and he dosen’t have to contact Dave in the middle of the night
.
I hope that The Red Desert Fox has not gone into hibernation for the next eight weeks, the Saudi remark was to throw people of his scent, hopefully The Red Desert Fox will still come out at night, like they do .
Just click on the link below.
Regards Steve.
Steve you have a PM.
Dave.
Where is this.
Dave.
My best guess is Czech Republic, just outside Hostivice 40/50 km from Prague , did a good tripe soup…Hope that I get the prize this time…
Far too easy, will have to make the next one a lot harder.

Maybe not bullitt, maybe it was just a dream all those years ago although at times the job seemed more like a nightmare.
I often forget about the bad times, the waiting for hours or even days at borders, the waiting for ferries and the times on a Friday afternoon when somebody said, sorry driver but there is nothing that we can do until Monday morning.
The times on my days off when the phone rang and I was told something urgent has just cropped up and you are the only one available so arrangements had to be made to change everything so that I could ship out that night. The times when I was struggling in the dark in the freezing cold trying to put a snow chain on or changing a wheel. The times like before I had a night heater and I thought it would be a good idea to put my sleeping bag inside a large plastic bag so that I could keep warm only to wake up in the middle of the night dripping in sweat. Waking up the following morning full of a cold with my body aching with red sore eyes because I had left the engine running most of the night and the heater was sucking in the diesel fumes.
WAIT A MINUTE
, I was single in the early 80’s and now I remember that most of my dreams involved doing things with Sally James and Bonnie Tyler. They were another two places that I wanted to see and I never got the chance, or if I did I have forgotten all about it
.
It’s such a shame that with age we all probably forget more names and places than what we can all remember. I thought that somebody might of remembered that floating bridge at Svelingrad though.
Ah well, here is another photo that I probably dreamt about all those years ago, I have a feeling that Bestbooties has got one similar, so if he can post his photo we can all have a game of spot the difference .
If the Red Fox expects a prize with this one he can go and whistle and
Jaws, you can phone a friend for a clue but don’t phone Dave in the middle of the night .
Regards Steve.
I’ll start the ball rolling with Yugo?
Sally James mmmm mmmmm mmmmmmmmm

ROME
brit pete:
ROME
Sorry Pete, it’s not Rome but I think that I know why you thought it might be .
Kavala!
Here we go, spot the difference.
Dave.
bestbooties:
Kavala!
Correct Ian, it’s Kavala in Greece .
Did you say spot the difference Dave .
Well looking at the weather I would say that we would be calling at the beach but if I was you then you might as well push onto the border at Ipsala .
Then again, you could always call into that little fish restaurant on the beach, have the catch of the day, a couple of Heinekin’s and wait until the weather clears up .
B.T.W. have they still not finished building that multi story car park yet .
