Hi Fred, as far as I know Barry and Val are both well.
I thought that you or somebody might be able to put a couple of names to match the faces on the photo.
I came across this one somewhere on the internet and recognised the beach just outside Kavala and I wondered if anybody knew anything about this company as they didn’t ring any bells with me. :frowning:

Best regards Steve.

Don’t recognise the truck but I certainly know the beach!

Why is the trailer set so far back from the unit?
Did those Unics suffer from heavy steering :stuck_out_tongue:

Looking at that pic I would say that the driver has pulled the pin and drawn partially from under the trailer, no trailer could sit that far back on a 4 X 2 tractor and still be coupled.
In fact looking more closely, you can see the fifth wheel on the unit.

ON our trailers on UCC they had 2 pins on the trailer, the first pin was for single axle units, when you put a double drive unit under you pushed the first pin up and lowered the second pin, but we did not have sleeper cabs as the sleeper cab became illegal too long. Terry

Cizre Turkey 1981. Always glad to get through there and join the queue for Zaco border!

Great picture of Cizre - keep 'em coming

Zakho/Habur, homeward bound.

Great pic’s Steve keep 'em coming you must have a wealth of these gems that you publish from time to time

Unfortunately Fred, I can’t remember all the photos that I have shown over the years and I just haven’t got the time to trawl back over 252 pages on this or any other threads so apologises if you have seen them before.
If I do come across some old photos in Cyberspace which I think may jog the memories of some of the old lads who are still with us then I think that it’s only fair to reshow them.
You never know but when I see a great photo like this then somebody might remember something interesting from way back and be able to share it with us.

Great pic Steve and good quality, thanks for your effort, I appreciate your comment re: pics that have been put on before but I am sure that they would be welcome - cheers mate

Hi Fred, I came across this and I did wonder if it was one of your old motors.
With a bit of practice I am sure that you will be able to reverse it.
