Jeff…
No Jeff, it was taken off here about page 59+ although I think that he let Dave put it on his website. Maybe Dave can tell us as they used to work together in the past.
Anyone put a country to that number plate??
Now this definitely has the M.E. look1 Any of you old hands recognise the FIAT/Haulier? Or even the location, someone might recognise the bridge?

Definitely Rijnarts.
The Fiat 619 is a still from the Dutch 1970 doco, the trip is 3 Fiats from Rynarts yard in Rottardam to Karachi and goes a bit arty and touristy in places but it’s pretty good . It was available from Ferdy Top Run, well shot by a pro company and in Dutch. It was made by Cine Fiat as a promo and it’s titled Rotta Karachi.
There were a few Marathons sold in Turkey, but if was Turkish from that era it would probably have Uzun Arac written on the bumper.

As soon as I saw the headboards I thought Scandinavian. Looks like I was mistaken!

Waiting for the ferry at Ostende 1980 . I seem to remember I was taking this machine to Rhymney /Rhumney in Welsh Wales Mick
Well…Well…Well…Thanks for posting this picture Mick. The truck has been a topic of conversation between Robert Dods Brown and myself for many years! He took the photo below but cannot remember who’s the F88 belonged to and it’s been driving him nuts for around 8 years now!
Thanks to you, the mystery has been solved and I can happily tell him who’s it was.
By the way, is that you standing by the F88 Mick ?
Hi Ash
Glad I have been able to help, yes the Old F88, “Jubilee Queen” It was owned by John Bull Shipping from Godalming, based just outside Guildford. I have another photo of it somewhere, I’ll put it on here shortly. It was a great truck and it’s nice to see it in such good company parked up in the desert. I wondered if that Grangewood motor was Fred’s. By the way It’s not me posing in front of the motor in your photo but I’ll put one on with me and my old 141. (much slimmer and a bit more hair in those days)
I’ve not looked on the thread for a week or two and the number of new quality photo’s that have landed are amazing. Thanks to Robert and everyone else who has put them on.
Mick
For Robert a better picture of John Bull Shipping’s f88 Jubilee Queen Loaded and ready to go.

Hi,will try again,in 1969 I met a few of Rynarts drivers in Turkey on the way to Pakistan, but dont remember any having containers on them,so it might be that the photos were later, all the drivers were Dutch then, there was also a Swiss firm doing the same run,I was offered a job with them but was unable to get a Swiss work permit,I was told the 2 brothers who owned Rynard was looking for English drivers but in those days there were not many English drivers doing the job apart from Asian Transport.2 years ago I was in Harwich Docks and there was some Rynards units parked up all East European drivers no English spoken, are they still going?
