Hi mate; To be honest I never got to speak to Chris. Nevertheless, I contacted him after I’d finished the book and we had a good chat about his life on the road, so who knows what I might be writing about in the future…watch this space as they say! :wink:

Took the Book to Sweden ,and had lots of interest ,I did take a copy for my friend Swen Freis who worked for Lindfors,in Sweden ,I also had an offer on my copy due to all the signatures ,I was quiet taken by the amount but is is not for sale ,while i’m still kicking the rubber .

Ive had the book a few weeks now and read it straight away and i could not put it down :laughing: :laughing: Im not a bookreader but i just could’nt close it once i hads opened it :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

i was the same , i’m not a book reader due to having a touch of dyslexia , i struggle to read for any length of time but i could’nt put it down once i’d started .

I know I’m saying what everyone else has about the book but it really is a great read! As hoped for, I got it for my birthday last week and have finished it already.

Anyone thinking about getting it, you won’t be disappointed. Great reading with brill pics. Well done Ashley, looking forward to another. :wink: :question:

Well I,am a old hand plus i,ve driven some rough motors but to go all that way in a mammoth major
just leaves me speachless. you younger drivers if you,ve never drove one of these lorries you can,nt
guess how bad they was compaired to modern tackle. if you see me at a show come and look or a drive
you,ll be amazed.

When i started driving we had a leyland guy j4 as a yard shunter and that was hard work no power steering at 38t :blush: :blush: :blush: :blush: :blush: and it was rough and uncomfortable and i would not have liked to take that any further that the yard gates :laughing: :laughing: That was about 13yrs ago :wink: :wink:
