I had not reversed an artic in ‘ages’ when I went for my class 1 royal mail assessment.
what they want is:
-TAKE YOUR TIME
-DO NOT BE AFRAID TO STOP/WALK AROUND TRUCK to see
-IF YOU DO IT WRONG, DO IT AGAIN
-DO NOT HIT ANYTHING/ANYONE (you won’t if you take your time)
I was a bit of an idiot on the assessment in the reverse but still ended up parking the thing in the right spot and in the right way ‘eventually’
the assessor was pleased, he said to me: all I care about is that you won’t kill anyone or damage my motor, for the rest: take your time as you will get good at this only with practice, that’s the same for all of us!
