Had my assessment drive today with Peter Smythe TT and it was everything I hoped it would be and more.

My assessor put me at ease and was very calm and the office staff were friendly and made me feel welcome.

The one thing that stood out the most For me was the difference between the hydraulic brakes I’m used to in my van and car and the air assisted brakes in the eurocargo. Feels like you have to plan your braking the day before lol

Four days training and test booked for April…can’t wait :smiley:

Ahhhh - always the same when anyone first drives with air brakes. It’s the sensation that nothing’s happening straight away (although it it) followed by an over reaction thus giving the hard brake. Normally solved very quickly.
