Assessment Drive On Thursday

Alright people,

Ive booked an assessment drive for Thursday @ 2.30 for an hour with mark Thompson Liverpool north west hgv trainer.

Just a quick question, what should I look out for and what will I be doing learning the basics?

I havnt paid any money yet though I have booked the 5 days of 4 hour lessons in July with the practical test on wednesday the 11th July with him

Don’t expect to learn anything complex.

Just basic use of the gearbox and observations.

Things you should look out for.

Could you spend all week…

A) in this lorry
B) with this instructor.

If you don’t feel comfortable, think about why you don’t.

Go for other assessments in your area. It increases your hours behind the wheel before the test and gives you an idea of what is available in your area.

Best of luck and let us know how it goes.

I passed my c+e with mark he’s a great fella

Spent 4 hours driving on Saturday with Mark great instructor you should have no problems

Oh sound, nice to hear other people on here have trained with him  gutted tho as assessment on Thursday will be a teaser as booked 11th July I’ve got to wait till then to do test  I’m so eager to get in and learn !!

passing is easy getting a job after is the hard bit! i passed with mark over a year ago top man…

Sorry to be the one to ■■■■ on the fire, but at 18…

Sam and Johnnie will be along shortly.

You could probably count on one hand the amount of companies that will take on an 18 year old. Hence why they are upping the licence age again come january (I think).

Deffo think twice if you want to spend all this money straight away for nothing, or wait till your 21 and have much higher chances of finding work.

Sorry to be a spoil sport, but I’d rather just be totally honest before you hand over that hard earned cash.
