Assessment drive for new job question

Hey ya. Bit of a weird question but when you have an assessment drive for a job interview and what not, can you do your flash one handed steering and crossing over or do they expect DVSA standard steering? Only reason I ask is because, as well as all you lot, you don’t really feed the wheel right? You all steer like a gangster one handed? Seriously though, would they frown upon that style?

Safe and controlled is the priority, and I’d suggest you attempt to use both hands, as that will keep your speed down in maneuvers, you won’t win any brownie points for looking Blasé. They are looking to see if you will be safe, not to set any speed records…
I’m not saying look like a robot, just use common sense!

All they want to see if that you are safe, controlled and confident behind the wheel because they are trusting you with driving 60 grands worth of truck and load about the place. They may ask you about loading and strapping so use common sense on that but if you don’t know then say. Its no good explaining to the boss that you didn’t know what the crack is when you’ve just seen your load making a break for it through the curtain.

That’s awesome guys, thank you so much.

Steer with your knees if you really want to impress them, whilst making a coffee
