Assaulted at work

Rog270:
Live in Thurrock… Trg always advertising for drivers on tesco.work…have seen the places they have to reverse into and the flack they get from customers who frequent their express stores…its only a matter of time before a driver gets seriously hurt…and I’m sorry to hear of your unfortunate episode…

I can’t see what the problem is, you turn up at the store, go into the store, tell a manager you have their delivery and then let them clear the delivery area and back you in, simple

Assaulted? And he came at you from behind?? :open_mouth:

Unfortunately I was attacked by another driver. He grabbed me by the throat as he had been informed that his new truck was not coming with a Microwave, Fridge and Air kit!
As I had been present when the truck was driven off DeRoy’s lorr, he accused me of lying when a photo (not mine) appeared on Facebook.
When I tried to explain they didnt leave the factory like that - he went potty!

Some people will regard you as having escalated the situation if you turn your back and walk away rather than dealing with whatever the issue was face-to-face.

Well how long do you expect him to stand there getting verbal abuse? Yeah he did turn to walk away as you would, unwittingly turning his back on the situation, and not expecting a Bruce Lee to the kidneys for doing the right thing :open_mouth:, hats off to you BV you did well to get out of there without flattening the ■■■■■ Hope the law sorts it out for you and claim through the Arse if you can mate. ■■■■■■■ blood ffs!

Under normal circumstances ie, if it is an employee of a company that assaults you then the legal term of ‘vicarious liability’ is of importance. In short an employer is fully responsible for the actions of his/her employees if the wrong doing takes place in the course of the member of staffs employment.
Taking legal advice is the right thing to do. Even if there is not enough evidence to prosecute the individual, at least the details of the altercation will be held on record and if there are reports of him assaulting any one else, the Police will already have plenty of previous info of his behaviour.

Trust me… Revenge is a dish best served cold !

The only person who would take that view is the defence lawyer trying to protect the perpetrator of the assault.

And who cares what they think because in my eyes anyone who tries to defend the blatantly guilty in exchange for a big fat pay cheque is a ■■■■ house anyway [emoji57]

If i remember correctly being assaulted by someone with your back to them, is a far more serious offence than if you are facing them ?.

Don’t know if that’s true, but it bloody well should be!

not really, you are the better man by walking away from some thug,i would do the same until he touched me,then that with my short temper would be like a red rag to a bull, and you would be justified as he hit first

Fine thanks it was a few years back & we would never become friends didn’t really like him much & after what he did was a bit to much

Tempted as I am to ask what he did and if it could be told in a story type way building up to the event, I won’t though.

There’s always boundaries men folk have to abide by no matter how friendly they may be.

Something tells me your event went way to far than what even I would consider acceptable and the bloke should have known better.

I have a few platonic lady friends myself and even during play fights and drunken mucking about there are limits I won’t cross or I will lose a friendship not to mention the wife.

I’m not happy. Just found out that the Richard Head that kicked me has denied everything, and the Police are NOT charging him.
So it was just his word against mine according to the law.

Here’s the full story.
Delivering an oversized pallet to a scaffold company nr Bideford in North Devon. I walked into the office and there was a bloke on the phone facing away from me. I waited a couple of mins before he eventually paused long enough to ask…“What?”
I told him I had an oversized pallet that needed to be removed from my truck and could he help?

His reply…"I paid £100 for you to put my ■■■■■■ pallet where I ■■■■■■ tell you to put it. I said.
“I can’t do it on my own and I’m not taking that abuse from you!”
“Grow up and put my ■■■■■■ pallet where i said!”
I flipped , said “Eff you” and turned to leave. Hence the kick. I thought about retalliating, but thought better of it. But now wished I had.
So…That’s that! :imp:
