Does anyone know what Aspray24 is like to work for?
Seen them around here, don’t seem to rushed about. They seem to be running a mix of new and old DAF’s so I think the fleet is being upgraded.

Think there is a member who works for them out of the North East depot
Aspray isnt far from work not many have a good word for them tbh always bang on hours every week, aprays had a scheme if u was out of work you could do 6 weeks for no money and might get an interview.
Says a lot if thats the way they have to get drivers
If you want try poundland where I am on days our nights 1 hit a night then back they are taking on atm.

Id been to the agency today, they offered me poundland but was only temp work for christmas, do you know if theres any perm jobs there?

They don’t seem to be able to get drivers for toffee at their Manchester site, the job advertised is always just night trunking to and from another one of their hubs in the Midlands. If the pay & working conditions were any good I don’t see why filling that role would be too troublesome.

Its a zb fleet, they use day cabs, no good…!
They were advertising for night trunkers out of West London recently but the money was pretty low. Can’t remember now but it was something like £400 p/w. Not very tempting. There are better paying places for the same type of work.
I work at the willenhall depot the trunking is ok I’m on 7.5t class 2 multi drop and its starting to stress me out,I’m off new year.
They’re always after drivers but the runs are stupid the route planning is rubbish.the class 1 drivers get a bonus and I think new starters on class 1 get a good whack(for aspray) but I think that’ll change in the new year

You mean the Poundland that got all the press about the unlawful scheme where they had people work for them so they didn’t lose benefits.
Is it Aspray24 that have ‘the industry’s best kept secret’ written on the back of the trucks. Seems an odd that if you are in business you would want your company to be kept a secret!

All depends what you expect in the 21st century I suppose.
I often pass them in the early hours climbing Shap in their tatty day cab wag and drags. The driver always looks miserable as sin.

Sounds about right. Went for interview there few weeks back, thought he quoted me there 7.5 tonne rate by mistake. thats working over 5 days
Low wages and the interview is like you are applying for a position as a brain surgeon
I used to work out of midleton. It was good but the drivers from Willenhall was pushed as it’s the central hub you can be sent in any direction. It’s a parcel network specialising in nuts and bolts and that type of thing
They have a regular advert on jobcentre website ,up here in north east england…thats not a good sign usually
