Joined the M60 this morning at 4am at Heaton park travelling towards simister island, and there halfway down the slip road on the hard shoulder was a an artic from Scotland, no lights on and curtains closed. I wonder how much of his rest period he got before the knock on his door
Probably a full break…Same as all the foriegn vehicles parked under the bridges with those barriers separating them from the motorway on th M25…
possibly broke down and waiting for mechanic?
I once managed 5 hours kip on the M5 hard shoulder when lights all packed up.
police had a word but didn’t seem especially concerned.
